Thomas E. Unger, Ph.D.

Background: Dr. Unger received his Bachelors degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton Phi Beta Kappa and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral therapy practiced for 20 years with adult individuals and couples. Specialty areas are anxiety, depression, worry, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsiveness, stress/anger, marital conflict, and personal effectiveness. Past experience includes serving as Director of the Southtowns Counseling Center and providing evaluation and referral services for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He has an interest in computer applications to psychological problems.

Diana G. Watson, Ph.D.

Diana G. Watson, Ph.D. received her B.A. in Education Cum Laude from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. She earned her M.A. in School Psychology and Ph.D. in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University at Buffalo. She is licensed by the state of New York as a Psychologist and is credentialed by AASECT as a Certified Sex Therapist. In addition to private practice, Dr. Watson works full time with the Buffalo Schools as a psychologist.   She enjoys visiting with her grandchildren and raising her Bichon Frise, Bella.

Candice P. Unger, B.S.N., M.S.

Mrs. Unger is a psychiatric nurse who received a BSN degree Cum Laude from University at Buffalo, and Masters Degree in counseling from Niagara University. Additionally she earned a degree in Information Systems Management from SUNY College Buffalo. She has served on the faculties of the schools of nursing at University at Buffalo and Niagara University. Prior to co-founding Buffalo Psychology Group, she was Head Nurse Manager of the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and of the Partial Hospitalization/ Psychosocial Rehabilitation units of the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center. She is licensed in New York as a Registered Nurse, and as licensed mental health counselor. Her interests include fitness training, hiking and following her kids’ college careers.
